Buddha's House

The Mohan’s were followers of Buddhist principles. This house was designed sensitively extracting elements around meditating Buddha like the lotus and water. A water fountain was designed in the foyer. The hall, as well as bedrooms, had a motif of Buddha looked from side and top in partitions as well as backdrops. It was used as a ceiling enhance in the lounge.

Apart from this, the apartment had a large balcony which had a meditating Buddha idol with raw concrete back wall and a wooden look ceiling in the extended hall. These elements were placed in such a way that as one moves into the house the glimpses of deep belief are reflected giving the house a sense of belonging and a unique identity.
