A Home Inspired by the Garden

This bunglow is admist a congested city fabric of vashi where Imprints architects have weaved a home giving emphasis to the public garden to which the house is connected. The garden shaped the central idea of the project: to create a home that feels connected to nature, even within the energy of the city.

Natural sunlight and ventilation guided the design. The spaces were planned to welcome daylight and allow fresh air to move through the home, making its connection to the outdoors part of everyday living. The house opens onto the garden through corner windows, large openings along the staircase, and box windows that look out toward the greenery. As light changes over the course of the day, it brings a different character to the spaces and reinforces the calm, open atmosphere envisioned for the project.

The garden’s influence extends into the architectural details. Leaf patterns echo the greenery outside, while metal birds introduce a sense of movement and life. These elements bring the design concept into view without overwhelming the home, giving it a distinct identity tied to its setting.

The result is a residence shaped by its surroundings: a place where nature inspires both the experience of the spaces and the details within them. The sounds of birds and the fragrance of flowers make being at home feel like a walk through nature, offering a moment of calm amid the bustle of city life.
