Siddhivinayak Society Lobby
The Siddhivinayak Society, a tower in need of a fresh look, required a budget-friendly redesign for its lobby. Usually lobbies are done in glass partitions and films to control the visual contact . Due to this breeze is restricted and need for air-conditioning becomes mandatory. This conventional idea was replaced by a screen of terracotta tiles.` The new design focused on durability and low maintenance while incorporating natural and sustainable materials. Terracotta, known for its breathability and eco-friendly properties, was used extensively to create a warm and inviting atmosphere. This screen worked as a partition allowing breeze and restricting visual contact. The earthy tones of terracotta complemented the minimalist design, blending tradition with modernity. Strategic use of natural light and ventilation further enhanced the space's sustainability, reducing energy costs like artificial lighting in daytime and air-conditioning The result was a timeless, functional, and environmentally conscious lobby that embraced contemporary sensibilities.
