Glass House,  Khandala

In the beautiful hills of khandala, nature is so close to us that, one would want to avoid any visual obstacle and enjoy an endless view. To provide a shelter in this was our challenge which we achieved through steel. Steel helps to avoid the concrete structure and makes a visually light structure. It also provides large spans with minimal columns and minor visual beams. The slab is also the deck slab to avoid cement on site. The plinth is created out of locally available stone and the enclose was in glass. This steel glass box merges in nature and provides a perfect cost effective and minimal time construction for a weekend home to enjoy the monsoon at Khandala.
